Beth Brown

American author. Has written a number of books on different subjects, both fiction and non-fiction and both adult and juvenile. She is noted for editing various anthologies of stories, especially animal stories, which include those about cats, dogs and, more pertinent to us, horses. She also wrote a short pony series for children.


Hurricane Series:

1) HURRICANE

SUMMARY: David raises and trains the rejected colt Hurricane for Mr. Holbrook, knowing that his mother is in love with Mr. Holbrook, but unhappily married to his cold step-father Brad.

2) HURRICANE'S COLT

ILLUSTRATED BY ANTHONY P. DEOCA
SUMMARY: Hurricane's colt Stormy is ill and David must try and restore him to health.

Although not particularly common titles, these can be found without too much trouble in the USA. Prices do tend to vary a lot. Both are hard to get hold of elsewhere.
